Ultrasound Partial Discharge sensors for substations

Overview
The company develops partial discharge ultrasound sensors for power transformers in substations, with an initial focus on small-scale production and pilot deployments.
The goal is to collaborate with TSOs and relevant DSOs in Norway and across the EU interested in testing and evaluating new sensor technology in-house.
Customer need
Reliable condition monitoring and early fault detection in power transformers (oil- or air-insulated), covering everything from transmission-level installations (300-420 kV) to distribution-level transformers (12-132 kV).
Key challenge
A key challenge in this market is not only the sensor hardware itself, but successful integration with existing bloated SCADA and monitoring systems, which are often complex and difficult to adapt.
Approach
We move fast: build fast, iterate fast, and learn from mistakes fast.
We own hardware design and manufacturing, firmware, and software in-house. What’s missing is validation in a real high-voltage lab.
